Each year Westminster invites all first-grade children and their parents to participate in our Worship Preparation Class. One of the ways we keep the vows we make when our children are baptized is to give thought, effort, and prayer to their participation in worship. Good worship experiences don’t “just happen.” If children feel loved, included and accepted in worship, it is because both the church and you have been faithful to their tasks. To that end, we talk about where we worship, why we worship, how we worship, and about prayer. We also learn about both sacraments celebrated in the Presbyterian Church, Baptism and Communion.
