I hope your Easter Day celebrations were meaningful and enriching. I’m still floating a little bit from the experience of worship with the community of faith, and I am enthusiastic for the coming week, what I am thinking of as Part 2 of our Easter worship. I’m preaching on Revelation 21, where we see the resurrection promises fulfilled. It is a picture of our final destination, where we will spend eternity:
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I lam making all things new.”
I believe there is a great deal of confusion about how we will spend eternity; things we tell ourselves that may or may not be true. We’ll take on some of those questions this Sunday.
I look forward to seeing you!
