One of my frequented podcasts opens with the two hosts asking each other “What are you astonished about?” It is fascinating to hear their conversation about what is on their minds any particular week in relation to their discipleship journeys. Sometimes it is a book they are reading, something in the news, or something happening in their community. There’s no right or wrong answer, just the space to share what they are taking in.  I wonder, if you were to have a conversation with a friend, colleague or family member, how would the conversation go? What is astonishing you today? Where do you see the work of Jesus Christ in the Kingdom? Where do you feel led to pray more deeply right now? Why?

The joy in discipleship is giving the space for these types of conversations again and again and again. So, I invite you this week to ask a question and share time of conversation.

With Joy and Hope,

Pastor Lissa
