Special Guest in the Pulpit
This Sunday, we are pleased to welcome the Rev. Colin Kerr to the Westminster pulpit. Colin is the former Director of Presbyterian Campus Ministry at the College of Charleston and The Citadel, and he is now the organizing pastor for Parkside Church, a new Presbyterian church across the street from Hampton Park in Charleston.
Our Presbytery is planting Parkside after years of prayer and discernment, believing God is calling us to reach into that community and beyond with the good news of the Gospel.  Parkside will be meeting in the historic St. Barnabas Church (45 Moultrie Street), with regular worship services beginning on September 8th at 10:30am.
How can you support Parkside?  Start by joining us Sunday and hearing Colin preach and share a little bit more about the compelling vision for Parkside. Then, make a visit. That’s right, your pastor just told you to visit another church!  Especially during these early stages, having good attendance in worship is important, and your presence at Parkside from time to time will be a big help.  And who knows?  You may sense the Lord leading you to a higher level of involvement.  When Presbyterians plant new churches, it’s all hands on deck!
I look forward to seeing you Sunday and joining together in what God is doing at Westminster, in Charleston, and around the world!
Grace and Peace,
