I’ve been looking forward to this week for a long time. I’m part of a small group of pastors that meets for a week every year to discuss assigned theological writing that we’ve been reading. The reading group is funded in part through The Foundation for Reformed Theology (foundationrt.org), whose goal is to help pastors be better preachers, better teachers, and better pastoral caregivers. This year we’re meeting at my alma mater, Princeton Theological Seminary, and we’ve been reading the theology of 20th Century Swiss theologian Karl Barth. Here’s a picture of the Karl Barth shelf in my study.
He wrote more than that, but thankfully we have not had to read it all!
I’m so glad to be with good colleagues in a good location reading and discussing good ideas. I’ll be back renewed, refreshed, and ready for what God has in store for us next at Westminster.
Yours in Christ,
